During his time with the US Army, Anton served in a wide range of clinical and administrative positions, including Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Emergency Medical Operations at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) and Senior Emergency Medical Operations Advisor to the regional government of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. Anton is a veteran of over 150 combat-contingency operations, during which he provided medical care to over 100 American Soldiers, NATO allies, and local-nationals. In just over 7 years in the Army, he received 24 military awards and decorations and holds the honor of being the only Sergeant (E-5) and most junior Noncommissioned Officer to ever be inducted into the Walter Reed Chapter of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC).
